Mr. Scrimgeour is involved in many interconnected businesses and missions, including being the Principal and Managing Member of Core Capital Management, LLC, a sustainable responsible investment and wealth management firm that helps people and organizations meet their financial goals while making smarter investment choices for a brighter future.
Mr. Scrimgeour established the trademark Environmental Economic Therapist®, in dedication to helping others understand of the correlation between the environment and the economy, and the potential corresponding global investment opportunities and risks that are derived. Mr. Scrimgeour also dedicates time to seeking financial opportunity and evaluating risk by participating in national and global organizations, and is active in the local sustainability movement by supporting organizations that address those causes.
Mr. Scrimgeour is a CFP® professional, CAIA® Level I candidate, and holds a MBA, Finance from Lindenwood University and BA, English from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Scrimgeour was captain of the University of Oklahoma wrestling team from 1991-1993. Prior to founding Core Capital Management, he worked at Morgan Stanley where he formally held Series 7, 31, and 66 securities licenses before establishing a Registered Investment Advisory firm. He has over 19 years of finance, business and investment management experience including owning two businesses in southern California, private merger and acquisitions experience, asset management, financial consulting, raising capital, and most importantly raising a family.
DONALD SCRIMGEOUR, Ph.D.
Donald Scrimgeour joined CCM in July 2016 to lead our social and environmental research. Has a broad background as a sociologist, consulting to many organizations and individuals on assessing, adapting, and creating change related to a variety of causes in complex environments. He has extensive experience in planning, and real estate both as a professional and investor. He is noted author and speaker on social and environmental change, and holds a Ph.D. Sociology from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
